We had a lovely time during our stay in a chalet at Lakes of Wasaga Parkbridge Resort. At the resort, we have the option of either staying in a cottage or chalet. We can either own these four season homes or rent and enjoy during anytime of the year. The scenic view of the man-made lakes surrounding each lot of chalets and cottages is beautiful and the perfect setting to sit and relax. Our days in the chalet were relaxing and fun, as we did lots of outdoor activities.
By staying at the Lakes of Wasaga Parkbridge Resort community, we have access to all the amenities of this gated community. There are indoor and outdoor pools around the property, a splash pad, basketball nets, volleyball net, tennis court, soccer field, playgrounds, 18-hole mini golf course, and a recreation centre.
We can borrow rackets and balls from the main office and enjoy all the different sports at anytime. We love that all the activities were walking distance from our chalet, and that we can enjoy the sports at anytime of the day.
Between Friday to Monday the resort has planned activities such as painting, scavenger hunts, and more. We found the community to be well managed and perfect for families to relax and enjoy.

One of our favourite activities was walking through the footpath from the resort to the 14 km world's longest freshwater sandy beach. We love the shallow beach, which is perfect for little ones, and the cooling water is the best way to escape the heat. The beach is accessible between 9 am to 10 pm.
We found it convenient that there are shops such as Walmart, Tim Hortons, Bulk Barn and more within 5 minutes driving distance from the community. There are a couple of hotspots within the resort if we want to use WiFi, however there is no Wi-Fi in the chalet.

The rental chalet we stayed at included three bedrooms and a full washroom, a full kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, an open concept dining and living room, laundry space, a walk out porch with barbecue and patio table, fire pit, and a multi-vehicle driveway. Watch the video below to see the inside of the chalet.
The kitchen was very convenient to make meals in, as it includes a microwave, family size fridge with freezer, dishwasher, small appliances such as kettle and coffee maker, cutlery, pans, plates, glasses and mugs, kitchen utensils such as a grater, strainer, baking trays, and more. At this chalet, there is a four chair dining set. The front closet also has cleaning tools that we may need from a broom, mop, vacuum, shovel, and more. We found having the ability to do laundry in the chalet was convenient for us.
Two of the bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds, and the third room in the loft has a bunk bed. All the rooms have bedside tables, dresser, and a closet. The living room has two pull out futons, fireplace, television, and DVD player.
There is also a fire pit by the lake, as we step out to the porch through the backyard. We can purchase firewood and kindling from the resort office and enjoy a campfire at our own spacious lot; while we were at the resort there was a fire ban due to the extreme heat so we didn't have a campfire.
When booking the chalet, we can request linens that include fresh bed sheets and towels for a fee. We need to take our own toiletries, clothes, blankets, grocery and food, toys and entertainment such as movies, swimwear and beach towels. We liked that the chalet has all the modern conveniences, which made our stay feel more at home.

While staying at the Lakes of Wasaga location, we enjoyed a couple of attractions which were close by such as the Elmvale Jungle Zoo, and the Scenic Caves. We will share about our adventures at the Scenic Caves on another post soon.
