A few years ago we visited Prince Edward Island and loved its scenic beauty. We were drawn to visit P.E.I and enjoy its beautiful scenery and attractions because of Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables.
The story was originally published in 1908 by Lucy Maud Montgomery, the tale of Anne Shirley and her adventures in Green Gables span over 8 novels and has reached readers in over 25 languages. Reading these classics made us eager to watch the new Anne of Green Gables films. These new versions of the films are a little different from the classic movies starring Megan Follows that we have enjoyed watching a few times.
This novel never gets old. We like how the places in the story are relatable. We visited Green Gables, Lucy Maud Montgomery's home and Avonlea.
We think it is fun to read classic novels such as Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea and introduce these to our children. The story about Anne in these novels will make us laugh and cry. I loved my visit to PEI and all the Anne of Green Gables presentations and displays. I've seen several Anne of Green Gables movies and TV shows, and am looking forward to these new films.
