During our recent visit to Collingwood, near Wasaga Beach we had the pleasure of staying at Living Water Resort. We enjoyed our stay in a double queen bed deluxe suite, which has an aesthetically pleasing design and décor. The suite has everything we need for a comfortable family stay including a kitchenette, bathroom with a Jacuzzi, and a walkout balcony.
The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, microwave, two burner stove, dishes, small appliances, and more. We found it comfortable to prepare quick meals.
The walkout balcony overlooks the parking space, marina, and the lake. There are barbecues in the common area that families can use. We found the fixtures in the suite were placed in a well thought-out manner to make the stay comfortable, the only thing we missed were a rack or a space to keep clothing and a couple more hooks to easily hang towels in the bathroom. We were pleased to be able to connect to Wi-Fi everywhere on the resort.

We love that a focus was placed on fitness and well-being at the Living Water Resort. We took advantage of the different exercise equipment such as the treadmills and bikes at the fitness facility adjacent to the family pool areas with the waterslide.
Families can join instructor led activities such as yoga and Pilates at the Living Water Fitness Studio in the mornings.
We can also take advantage of the roof top deck, which is open from seven in the morning to dusk for guests to either walk, or sit back and enjoy the scenic view.
We can also rent a variety of watercraft such as pontoon boats, single or tandem kayaks, pedal boats, and stand up boards at the Marina.

They have an arcade room with coin operated games. If you are travelling with children three to sixteen, they can be enrolled in the kids' camp option for summer months at the Recreation Centre. Children and families can use the Recreation Centre to do variety of activities such as crafts or play tennis, use the pool table, and more. If you are in the Collingwood area or travel there often then you can become a member to use the facilities at the Cranberry Resort Recreation Centre, which is the sister resort of Living Water Resort. If you enjoy playing golf, then you will like the meticulously manicured 18-hole golf course with expansive fairways and strategic bunkers at the Cranberry resort. Living Water Resort is also close to fun attractions such as Scenic Caves, Wasaga Beach, and ski hills.
There are plenty of dining options with a wide range of choices that accommodates everyone's taste. There are several dining options at Cranberry such as the Memories restaurant, Lounge 26, Courtyard Bistro, and Station on the Green overlooking the golf course. At the Living Water Resort, we can dine at the Lakeside Seafood and Grill. In the mornings, the Agua Juice and Coffee Bar is open to purchase breakfast and snack items.
We enjoyed our AquaPath experience at the Living Shore Spa while the kids joined in the camp activities at the Recreation Centre. The warm, detoxing experience really made us feel refreshed. A guide directs us on what to do and tells us when it is time to move to each station, she also gives some information about the therapeutic nature. We found the time given at each station was sufficient to enjoy. We liked that the spa has tried to recreate a natural setting indoors by using plastic plants and having a cave like feel with different water settings.
We love that this experience is only shared with your partner or friends, and no-one else is there except for the guide. Once we change and put on the robe, we are directed to the multiple stations. We start off at the Swiss shower with multiple body jets and rain head shower, which has different water temperature. We then enjoyed the waterfall benches, where we sit on a bench setting and the water rains over in different patterns. We are then directed to a hot tub with series of jets designed to detoxify, followed by the eucalyptus steam sauna that is infused into the room. As we inhaled the air in this steam sauna, we were able to feel our chest clearing.
Once we were out of the steam sauna, we were directed to get a quick wash in the glacier shower with ice cold water that is supposed to help promote circulation. The experience of walking twice in the river walk station with the two trenches, one with warm and cool water has jets that progressively come up higher to our legs. It would have been nicer if we were able to feel the pebbles a little more on our feet, assimilating the real experience of walking on a river bed, as we thought the river rocks in this experience felt a little too flushed in. We then went into a tub with a jumbo rain shower.
During our experience at the hot tubs, we were given cold water and a cold towel to place on the neck. It would have been nicer if they had provided the cold water in a better drinking cup maybe something that resembled a plastic glass to go with the ambiance, and added a lemon or cucumber in the water. Towards the end of the experience, we were given a mixture of sea salt and essential oils in a small container to apply all over our body and wash it off in the exfoliation tub. Then we went to rinse off this oil in the rain head shower before heading to the changing room. They have lockers in the changing rooms where we can keep our belongings. Apart from the hydropathic AquaPath experience, the Living Water Spa offers a variety of different relaxation, pampering, and massaging services.

With its picturesque waterfront backdrop of the Georgian Bay shores and the Bear Estate banquet hall, this resort would also be a quaint spot to host conferences, banquets, and weddings. We like that this resort is continuously upgrading and adding new facilities and living spaces.
We felt the overall ambiance and the relaxed atmosphere at this family friendly resort would be wonderful for anytime of the year.
