Studies have proven there is a link between music and children's development. Music has been used for many centuries in all types of different cultures from the time babies are born with sweet lullabies to sooth them or to rock them when they are little. As we grow we listen to and sing different types of music depending on our mood and activities. There are different opinions on how music and sounds can make us feel, and impact our thoughts.
There is a wonderful book about children's music that gives insight to early, classical and modern music if you want to teach your children about it at home.

Check out this short video to see some masterpieces my children made with LEGO DUPLO blocks.
I like the messages and sounds in the LEGO DUPLO Jams, which has fun music the whole family will enjoy. We put on the LEGO DUPLO jams when we want to listen to something fun, sing-a-long or take the CD when we go on trips. These types of songs encourage children to think, which influences their creativity.
After attending the modular building workshop at LEGOLAND I too agree with my children that it is so much more fun and easier to handle and build with LEGO DUPLO bricks. This allows my children to become creative and build different structures.
This is probably the biggest reason my children enjoy the LEGO DUPLO blocks and keep encouraging me to buy them more.
