Safari Niagara in Stevensville, Ontario is a wonderful attraction to spend a day with family and friends. We had a fun filled, adventurous day enjoying the attractions at Safari Niagara. Since our visit last summer, the attraction has changed quite a lot and I was very impressed that people’s opinions were considered and they have made it more fun and enjoyable for everyone. Now the admission tickets cover all the fun at the park, and parking is free.
The staff members at Safari Niagara have become more friendly and helpful, so we felt a lot of positive attitude that allowed us to enjoy everything the park had to offer.
The new attractions of the free-flight budgies were lots of fun. We really enjoyed experiencing these large groups of birds flying in flocks over our heads.
The park has four special presentations that allow us to learn about animals, as well as get the opportunity to interact with them such as with the Wonders of Flight and Reptile presentation.
Watch this video of very loud monkeys :) that we met at the zoo. We sure don't want them as neighbours.
The park has the timing of these special presentations printed on their park map as well as on the tram stations so we can get an opportunity to see the shows.
There is more greenery and forest like atmosphere and the animals were with one or more of their kind in cages or their areas.
We walked around to see a variety of animals such as hippos, zebras, kangaroos, giraffes, camels, flamingos out and about in their areas enjoying the weather and the greenery. We saw some animals going to their indoor areas and some grazing outside.
We are big fans of farm animals and enjoyed watching the chickens, goats and other farm animals at Papa Steve’s Family Farm.
My children really liked the Splash Pad and the large playground. We spent hours in this station especially because of the space and picnic tables. We took snacks and lunch with us to have a picnic in their scenic picnic grounds.
The splash park has lots of neat interactive misters and sprayers, squirting teeter-totters, motorcycles, dolphins and tipping fish that are sure to be enjoyed by our little ones.
The couple of amusement park rides excited the little ones, as they can go on it any amount of time they want. The park located in the Adventure Zone has lots of slides, swings and play equipment that allow our children to climb like little monkeys.
The Elastoblast is a multi-station super trampoline system that accommodates jumpers weighing from 30lbs up to 220 lbs. It is fun to try bungee jumping without the risks.
We challenged ourselves at SkyQuest, which is a multi-level adventure ropes course. We were harnessed to navigate a stimulating obstacle course 30 feet in the air using ropes and beams.
My little one enjoyed the SkyTykes by walking on balance beams, ropes and bridges similar to the larger counterpart, SkyQuest.
We were securely strapped with multiple cords so it was fun bouncing and imitating tricks we saw at the circus.
We enjoyed the paddle boats and had a good time relaxing, enjoying the breeze while working out our leg muscles :)
There is lots of other fun things to do such as catch and release fishing. I like that the Gator Express Tram is part of the admission package, as it is easy to commute on the tram to see different attractions.
Now that there is so much to do at the park, it is good to have a season pass as well. It is a wonderful place to enjoy with family and friends.

We went on time to get the Big Cat Tour that gave us the opportunity to learn more and get to know about these animals.
I have always felt a little sad to see these wild animals caged, so I asked our tour guide a little more about the program. She told me that these wild animals such as jaguars, wolves, leopards, and lions are not taken from the wild; rather they are bred as part of the zoo program. These animals are moved around when the people who care for them feel there is a need for the change or if the animals feel stressed at their locations.
