Dragons: Riders of Berk Volumes 1 & 2 are coming to DVD on July 23rd. This two-volume DVD follows the same characters in the town of Berk from the wonderful film How to Train Your Dragon. My children enjoyed watching the episodes on each of the DVDs. Disc one has 1-11 episodes and disc two has 12-20, so they can watch a few episodes each time.
My children were immersed in the episodes, and really enjoyed watching them. They found some parts to be sad, as they got attached to the harmless dragons and didn't want the dragons to be in Dragon Island separated from the Vikings. The animations were superb and it was fun to watch as a family.
Over the years, Dreamworks has introduced to us the exciting world of dragons. We can't forget the famous Dragon from Shrek. Who can blame Donkey for loving Dragon? She is a do-it-all mom that balances her time taking care of her young Dronkey’s, battling Prince Charming, and hanging out with pals Fiona and Shrek. From dragons in love to dragons in battle, here are some of our favourite dragons from Dragons: Riders of Berk.
Toothless from Dragons: Riders of Berk is not only the most intelligent species of dragon out there, but he is a true friend to his best bud Hiccup. Even with one of the wings on his tail missing, he can still soar speedily through the air.

Stormfly from Dragons: Riders of Berk is both caring and fierce. She looks after her pal Astrid, and shoots her poisonous tail spines if there is danger.
Meatlug from Dragons: Riders of Berk is not as beautiful as Stormfly or as fast as Toothless, but she is one of the toughest dragons.
