On Saturday, April 5th between 10am to 3pm Ninja Turtles are taking over Yonge and Dundas Square. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, first introduced in a comic book series has become a household name and a top selling toy action brand around the world. Nickelodeon Canada and Walmart Canada are celebrating all things Ninja Turtles with the launch of a national voting contest and Street Art Battle at Yonge-Dundas Square (1 Dundas Street East).
Four talented graffiti artists will be put to the challenge in a live
competition to channel their “inner Ninja Turtle” and create 7X7 feet life-sized canvas creations of each of the Turtles, Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo who are named after renaissance artists. The public can vote online to determine the
winning design that will be made available for purchase as an exclusive t-shirt at
Walmart Canada this fall. (Voting website and details to be announced soon).

That sounds like so much fun. My son would love this- although his favourite is Donatello. It's funny that I used to watch them :)
ReplyDeleteI loved TMNT as a kid! Gosh, now I feel old. :P

This makes me feel old. I remember TMNT when I was younger, and then they made a come back when my oldest son was little, and now another comeback now that my little ones are getting to the right age to like them. I guess TMNT is timeless lol
