The Mediterranean Cookbook edited by Marie-Pierre Moine has authentic recipes from Italy, Tuscany, Provence, the Greek Islands, Morocco, Spain, Greece, Provence, northern Africa, and the Middle East. This book gives us the necessary tools to recreate the flavours of the Mediterranean in our own homes.
There are more than 300 fresh, healthy, and easy to make recipes such as Citrus Lamb Tagine and Leek Moussaka to Panzanella and Tzatziki. This book is a wonderful resource for families that want to eat fresh, fast, and healthy. My family enjoys Mediterranean food, and I enjoyed looking through the delicious recipes and pictures that has inspired me to make a variety of food. Here is a delicious, simple recipe from this book that we enjoyed, which would be perfect to serve mom for breakfast :)
2 tbsp olive oil
knob of butter plus extra to serve
2 to 3 garlic cloves crushed
1 to 2 tsp sumac
8 eggs
1 tsp dried mint
salt
In a heavy bottomed frying pan, heat the oil and butter. Add the garlic and sumac and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until it begins to colour. Crack the eggs into a bowl and pour into the pan. Sprinkle mint over the eggs and cover the pan with a lid. Reduce the heat and cook until the whites are set. Sprinkle a little salt over the eggs and divide into 4 portions and serve with toasted and buttered flat bread.

I like that the book is separated into continents and then within it to different countries. The section on the bottom that suggest how we can spend a day in a place, on what and where to check out, getting there, where to stay and the tourism site is useful.
