The Canadian Warplane Heritage museum is a working airplane hangar with many interactive displays where we can touch, sit in, and learn about warplanes. We really enjoyed the flight simulators that allows children and adults to experience what it would feel like to be in a plane.
The museum features more than 40 aircraft, from vintage WWII aircraft to jets that have been flown by Canadian military and civilians.
The museum is handicapped accessible, and is located adjacent to Hamilton’s J.C. Munro Int’l Airport, and is open every day except Christmas and New Year’s.
The collectable aircraft models and the history behind it will interest aircraft enthusiast.
Since the museum does not allow outside food, we can purchase lunch and snacks in their canteen.
