Sands Alive is an educational indoor play sand that stimulates creativity. It is made using all natural ingredients that are not toxic, hypoallergenic, water-soluble and gluten free. The unique formula used to make Sands Alive, ensures that it prevents bacterial growth; it never dries out, will not stain, and is not sticky. My children have hours of fun playing with Sands Alive. I have setup the large set accessible to them, so they can play with it any time they want. It is mess free and easy to clean up.
Since Sands Alive is soft to touch and has a wonderful texture, it is a good sensory material that enhances children's fine motor skills, as they manipulate it by squishing it, rolling it and building a variety of 2D and 3D objects.
It develops children's creativity as the self-binding Living Sands allow children to use their hands to compact it and make shapes. Children can also use a variety of tools or moulds if they wish and build. It is easy to break apart and play again, which allows children to keep playing - it does become addictive. When my children play with Sands Alive it encourages lots of conversation during their process of making the different sculptures, and once they make their objects they love to talk about it and show what they have done.

The Sands Alive large set comes with 4 lbs of compacted Living Sands inside a plastic bag. I like the large sand tray that comes with this kit allow us to leave the sand open so it can breathe; the Living Sands is not be kept stored in air tight containers. This set comes with 16 sand tools, which helps us to make creative patterns and create sculptures. See the conversations and play that is happening around Sands Alive on their Facebook.
