With Kissan products, we can spice it up and make Indian food at home easily. As a foodie that loves to cook and bake, I think the quality of the ingredients makes a big difference on how our food turns out. I have been using a variety of Kissan products like their spices and sauces to make quick and delicious meals for my family that we all love.
For over 30 years, family-owned, Canadian company
Kissan International Inc. has been supplying quality authentic Indian ingredients. They have a variety of flavourful Indian
spices, oils, pastes and sauces. Kissan Tandoori Masala before is our go to Tandoori Masala because the chicken turns out delicious.
I used the Curry Paste to prepare this dish with paneer or Indian cheese, mushroom and pepper that turned out delicious. This curry has a tangy flavour. I also used this paste to cook eggplant and potato that we enjoyed. Kissan's site has a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes like their Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Crab Cakes,
Spicy Vegetable Quinoa and more that will help spice up our cooking.
I love using the Kissan Desi Ghee, also known as clarified butter for a variety of dishes. I like sautéing rice with ghee before cooking it and it turns out delicious. I also cook chicken in ghee to add flavour. I also like using ghee to make desserts like this no bake date pastries.
I tried their 100% pure oils Almond and Coconut oil that is useful for cooking and beauty
routines. I like cooking some of my vegetable dishes with coconut oil because it adds flavour. The Kissan’s Almond Oil has a pure, rich and sweet taste without a smell. The bottle mentions it is an excellent natural moisturizer for hair and skin, so we used it for our hair and love it.
We have made this Kissan Tandoori Chicken recipe many times because everyone in our family enjoys the flavour of how the chicken turns out.
To bake or barbecue Tandoori Chicken you will need...
1 lb chicken thighs or legs
1 tsp Kissan Tandoori Masala (more for spicier flavours)
100g plain yogurt (or sour cream)
1 lb chicken thighs or legs
1 tsp Kissan Tandoori Masala (more for spicier flavours)
100g plain yogurt (or sour cream)
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
onion, tomato and lemon to garnish
Wash chicken pieces thoroughly, and cut slits or prick the chicken with sharp
knife all over to allow for better marinating.
In a large glass mixing bowl, make the marinade by adding Kissan Tandoori
Masala, oil, yogurt, salt and lemon juice. Add the prepared chicken to the marinade and coat the chicken. Then refrigerate overnight (or
at least a few hours).
We can either barbeque or roast it in the oven at 425˚F until chicken is fully cooked. We tried both methods and it turns out delicious. Garnish the cooked chicken with sliced onions, tomato, and lemon slices.
