I love this OXO POP Cereal Dispenser! It comes in 3 sizes; 2.3L, 3.2L, 4.2L to meet our storage needs. The one handed pop open lid makes this a perfect container to store cereal because of the ease of pouring the cereal through the spout.
There is a contoured grip, so the dispenser will not slide out of our hands when we are pouring the cereal. I like that the container has a BPA free airtight seal to keep the cereal fresh. I find having this 3.2L container very useful because we no longer save cereal in the bags they are packaged in because an entire package of cereal fits into the OXO POP Cereal Dispenser.

Another wonderful OXO product, I checked out that will help us to eliminate food waste is the OXO GreenSaver. Usually fruit and vegetables spoil because of the ethylene gas that they release, poor ventilation in the plastic bags the produce is usually kept in, and damage from uncontrolled humidity. By using the the GreenSaver Produce Keeper we can eliminate these problems and extend the life of fruits and vegetables.
These containers feature an activated carbon filter made with coconut husks, which safely and naturally absorbs ethylene gas that the fruits and vegetables emit. Similar to containers with filters, we need to be replace the filter every 3 months, which I find is the only downside of these container. OXO makes it easy for us to remember to change the filter, if we signing up for email or text reminders at www.greensaver.oxo.com. We can also adjust the vent on the container depending on the types of produce we want to keep crisp and fresh.
The basket tray in the container sits elevated so the produce does not touch the bottom and sides of the container. This is important has it prevents moisture buildup. The removable basket is helpful to easily rinse fruits and vegetables before serving. By using GreenSaver we can waste less and save more.

Love, love, love the cereal dispenser. I eat a lot of cereal but never thought to get a separate container to keep it all fresh. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteThese would be indespensable in any kitchen! Love them! We don't like to waste food either! Great ideas.
ReplyDeleteThese look like super storage containers. I love the cereal one :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that idea. It would definitely stay fresh longer. We hate wasting food. In fact, we put stale cereal in the oven to freshen it up.
ReplyDeleteLovely articles, I especially like the idea of the OXO GreenSaver, sounds like it's a blessing for saving food from wasting away. :-)
ReplyDeleteI need to start picking up some storage containers. My daughter puts everything in containers or jars. The do keep things fresh.
