To make this card with a dandelion flower, I used a combination of heart shaped quilling and tightly rolled quilling. My inspiration for this design is from a post I saw on Instagram.
I quilled 4 to 5 inch long pieces of quilling paper for each of the shapes on this card. For some of the tight coils I went with small length pieces.
For the heart shape, I rolled the quilling paper tightly then let it loosen a little, glued it, and shaped it with my fingers to make a heart shape.
Before glueing the shapes in place, I penciled in lines then glued the heart shapes and tight coils to a dandelion flower design. For the lines, I used a gold thin line sharpie, and for the message on the birthday card I used a thin line red sharpie.

I like to personalize my cards and often add pictures to mine. Will have to give this a try. Thanks for the idea.
