The perfect cup of coffee always starts with the right amount of coffee grinds! Breville's Dose Control Coffee Grinder helps us to easily get the balanced extraction of flavours from our coffee grinds and be consistent each time.
The stainless steel conical burrs in this grinder and the adjustable Razor™ dosing tool suitable for 58mm, 54mm, and 50mm portafilter baskets helps us get an even dose of coffee grinds every time we grind. This helps us make the perfect cup of coffee.

I like that we can grind directly into the portafilter using the hands-free grinding cradle or into a filter or coffee mug, so cleaning is easy and quick. The removable hopper can hold up to 340g. It has 60 grind setting, from espresso to French press. I like that the machine is simple to use, as we just set the grind size by turning the grind setting and press the start button. The machine weighs 2 kg and it is 34cm (H) x 15cm (L) x 20cm (D).
I like to check the BrevilleCafeQuality.ca site designed by Breville to help Canadians discover café quality coffee at home with innovative products and technology, barista-inspired tips, video tutorials, recipes, and fun facts. This site helps us learn how to properly grind coffee beans for flavour that is balanced and never bitter. The resource also includes creative recipes for a variety of espresso types, from Piccolo, Ristretto, Macchiato, to the classic Cappuccino.
I like serving the coffee in the Danesco double walled latte glasses, which are sold in sets of two. The double wall of these lightweight glasses create a vacuum layer of thermal insulation to help keep hot drinks hotter longer than standard glasses, while the outside layer stays cool to the touch. We can also enjoy cold drinks in these glasses, as it lets the cold drinks stay cool and the glass prevents condensation. These glasses hold 16oz, and it is made with shock resistant borosilicate glass.

Usually if the coffee beans are ground too fine it has a strong taste that is sometimes bitter. The coarse ground coffee usually has a weaker flavour. Here is the method I like to use to make a fresh cup of French Press coffee.
I place 25 g of coffee to the hopper, and set the grinder to French Press so the granules are medium to coarse ground. I placed the ground beans in the French Press and poured a little bit of hot water and left it covered for 30 seconds. I added 400 ml of water and let it rest for 3 minutes. Then I pressed the plunger down, and strained the coffee. If the coffee sits for a long time it becomes bitter so strain it and discard the granules. I topped the coffee with hot milk and sugar.
