Ontario Science Centre invites visitors to explore the science behind the
unbelievable with The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!® exhibition, which is a joint production between Ripley Entertainment Inc. and Science North. We found this family friendly exhibition educational and interesting, as it presents an extraordinary collection of intriguing objects and
artifacts from Ripley's Believe It or Not!®
"Curiosity is an innate human quality and one that led Robert Ripley to accumulate his
astonishing collections", Dr. Maurice Bitran, CEO and Chief Science Officer, Ontario Science has said that with this exhibition, Ontario Science Centre "invites visitors to exercise their own curiosity to learn about the
science that underlies and explains the seemingly inexplicable, and make Ripley's passion for
discovery their own."
Through experiments, challenges, touchable specimens, computer interactives and multimedia
experiences, this highly engaging exhibition allows visitors to delve into Robert Ripley's
legendary compendium of oddities, anomalies and fantastic feats. Children will enjoy crawling through a life size model of a prehistoric snake, measuring up against the world's tallest man, and investigating incredible examples of body modification to experiencing some of the world's
most perplexing optical illusions.
The Science of Ripley's Believe It or Not!® encourages visitors
to follow their natural curiosity in the unusual and explore the science behind the unbelievable.
The exhibition runs daily until September 5, 2016 and is included with
general admission.
