When Ontario peaches are in season, my family and I like to enjoy their fresh, sweet, and sometimes tangy taste. I like to use fruits mostly when they are in season for desserts and salads. Peaches are one of those delicious stone fruits I like to use when I make fruit crumbles. This warm, cold, sweet, tangy, and crunchy dessert goes well with ice cream.
This quick and easy Peach Crumble dessert made with Ontario Peaches will be enjoyed by everyone in the family. To make this recipe you will need...
5 to 6 ripe peaches
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup cold unsalted butter cut into cubes
3/4 cup oat flakes
Wash the peaches and cut thick wedges. Then place the peaches in an 8" square baking dish.
In a food processor add the brown sugar, flour, and butter. Then pulse it until it resembles a coarse crumb mixture. Add the oats and then pulse it again to make sure that the oats are mixed. Stir in 1/2 the mixture into the peaches, and the rest of the mixture spread it over the top of the peaches.
Bake in the center of a preheated 375F oven for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is golden and the filling is bubbly. Let the crumble stand for about 15 minutes before serving it with ice cream.
