It is always fun and satisfying when there is home decor that is handmade. This fun cushion cover project is an easy project to get started even when we are on-the-go. Read the instructions below to see how easy it is to make.
I crocheted four 8" squares using two different shades of green 4 ply yarn. Then I attached the crocheted squares together to create a pattern.
For the backing of the cushion cover, I used a soft flannel material. I took two rectangular pieces of the cloth so it would overlap and allow me to remove and insert the cover as needed.
I attached the backing by first pinning the sides to the crocheted square. I had both the material with the wrong sides in and the right sides facing out, and used a yarn needle to blanket stitch.

I love it! I can't crochet, my mom tried to teach me but I just never could get into it but I love the finished products (i have lots that my mom has made me over the years). The pillow looks great! The colours would actually match a blanket my Mom made me about 20 years ago.
