Amazon Adventures IMAX movie at the Ontario Science Centre

Amazon Adventures traces the 11‐year Amazon rainforest expedition of naturalist, explorer and scientist Henry Walter Bates, who provided proof to Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection, the scientific explanation for the development of life on Earth. This 45 minutes compelling detective story of peril, perseverance and success draws audiences into the fascinating world of animal mimicry. 

We enjoyed watching the 80 highlighted animal behaviours, flora in the Amazon, the instruments and tools from 1850s, the real incidents of Bate's based on his scientific field notebooks and botanical drawings, and butterflies he collected over 160 years ago. This movie increases our understanding of the concept of natural selection, the heart of evolutionary, molecular and genetic biology, and our understanding of how the natural world works.

Relax and Rejuvenate: Libre tea glass 

We have been using Libre tea glass over six years, and love its versatile use. These durable glasses are now available in beautiful, colourful designs. Since it is thermal, it keeps hot beverage hot, and cold beverages cold. We can use it anywhere, anytime to hold tea and coffee, fruit infusions, and shakes. It can keep tea hot for about an hour and a half. After use, it is simple to clean by washing by hand. The Libre tea glass is not microwaveable. Although, the glass is break resistant and spill resistant, we need to use it with care as it can shatter. These glasses can be bought online at Libre and on Amazon.ca.
