I thoroughly enjoyed doing this wall display on an old glass picture frame. Prior to starting the project, I cleaned the glass with rubbing alcohol. Once the surface air dried, I drew a Mandala themed design using a black DecoArt Glass paint marker.
Then I painted each section carefully using a thin paint brush. I really like how easy it is to work with Americana Gloss Enamels.

Gloss Enamels are multi-surface, gloss, acrylic paints that has a smooth, thick consistency. They are available in opaque, transparent, and frost finishes. All of the Gloss Enamels are designed to be compatible with one another and come in a wide variety of vibrant colours. This paint can be used on multi-surfaces such as glass, wood, papier mâché, plastic, resin, ceramics, and many other craft surfaces. If we use it on glassware, it can be baked for a durable dishwasher-safe finish.
When using this paint, the brush does not need to be loaded with lots of paint. It is easier to work with small amounts of paint on the brush. The paint is non-toxic and is water based, which makes it easy to work with and remove unwanted paint before it dries. We can also layer different colours once the layers dry. I used the glitter gloss enamel to add sparkle and shimmer to some parts of the project.
For this project I used...
Old glass picture frame
Mandala drawing
Black DecoArt Glass paint marker
Thin paint brush
Americana Gloss Enamels in a variety of colours
Americana Crystal Glitter Gloss Enamels
Aluminum foil paper
Aluminum foil paper
Cardboard and tape for the back of the frame
For the back of the glass frame, I covered with aluminum foil as I saw this on a few YouTube videos, as it gives the project a more completed finish and makes the design more prominent.
