Fun educational games everyone in the family will enjoy

Learning doesn't have to be boring! Games are a fun way for families to spend time together while children develop a variety of skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, sharing, and many other fundamental skills. Pressman Toys promote learning with its STEM and educational products. We have been playing with three of their games - Mastermind®, Tri-Ominos® and Rummikub®. 

Mastermind is the world's most popular code-breaking, strategy game. Designed for two players over 8 years, players will take turns being the Codemaker and Codebreaker. The Codemaker sets a secret code using four of the pegs by choosing from the six available colours. The Codebreaker attempts to match the code using logic, deduction, and a little bit of luck. After each attempt by the Codebreaker to figure out the pattern, the Codemaker signals if the pattern is correct by placing either the red or white small pegs on the side. There are over 2000 possible codes we can make. Mastermind is a dynamic tool that teaches children about deductive reasoning while having fun. We like that there is a side storage to keep the game pieces intact.

Rummikub has been enjoyed by millions of families around the globe and is a timeless tool for reinforcing math and strategy skills. Players take turns placing numbered tiles in runs and groups rummy style. The first player to get rid of all of their tiles, wins.

Tri-Ominos adds a whole new dimension the classic game of dominoes. Players must score points by matching numbers on the three-sided pieces, earning bonus points for special moves like matching all three sides. This fast-moving game is full of strategy, math and fun for the whole family.

These board games ensure that learning never stops and continues to flourish, even outside of the classroom. It is available to purchase in many retail stores such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
