We Are Knitters: Fun and Happiness in a kit

We Are Knitters, an European based DIY knitting kit company has expanded into the Canadian marketplace. We Are Knitters encourages creativity and self-wellness through the art of knitting, as the benefits of knitting has been embraced as both a fashion trend and health practice. These kits range in levels of difficulty and come in a variety of options from classic wool scarves and blankets, to colour-pop clutches, beach bags and bathing suits. We Are Knitters sends the whole kit in eco-friendly packaging, all we do is choose the colours and pattern and the rest is covered. The  kits include:

• The perfect amount of 100 per cent Peruvian Wool Skeins from the highlands of Peru
• Sustainably sourced 100 per cent beechwood needles 
• A step-by-step pattern on how to complete the piece (choose your level of difficulty: Beginner, Easy, Intermediate, Advanced)
• Tapestry needle for final touches
• Stickers and embroidered label we can attach to our project

I enjoyed knitting the Downtown snood within a few hours. This snood is made by casting on 17 stitches, and the seed stitch pattern done by doing *K1, P1* until 54 rows are completed. The rectangle is then folded and stitched using the tapestry needle to complete the snood. 

This project came with Peruvian chunky wool, which is very soft and pleasing to work with. The 15 mm wooden needles included in this kit is made in Spain, and it was easy to work with. This $70 beginner level kit will be enjoyed by knitters of all levels, as it is a satisfying and fun project. I like how their website has videos and tutorials we can refer to. They also have free patterns.
