It is important we take the time to educate ourselves and teach our children about the beautiful things that surrounds us. When we forget to appreciate nature, things like Climate Change will not feel like a big deal. Trees, Leaves, Flowers and Seeds is a unique guide to the extraordinary world of plants, from the smallest seeds to the tallest trees. We need plants to survive! We depend on them for food, shelter, and even to breathe, yet we don't know much about them.
This book takes a closer look at flowering plants, trees, grasses, or cacti. You will find interesting facts and cool information.
Did you know there are orchids that look like monkey faces and trees that drip poison?
We like that this picture packed galleries show plants from all angles and even in cross section, to highlight the key parts, and show the variety of plants on different themes, such as the habitat they grow in, a flower family, or the plants that supply us with our staple foods.

The Wonders of Nature is similar to the An Anthology of Intriguing Animals book from DK Canada which we enjoy. It is a beautiful book that shows the stories behind the natural world with facts about animals, plants, rocks and minerals, and microorganisms.
With 100 remarkable items from the natural world, from orchids to opals and lichens to lizards, everyone will find something to be captivated by. The detailed close-up images are beautiful, and makes it interesting to read the book.

The storybook descriptions makes it interesting to read about the myths and legends surrounding both organisms and gemstones, as well as the key facts about their natural history.

Manmade Wonders of the World gives lots of details about manmade structures from Stonehenge to Burj Khalifa. This catalogue has beautiful, famous, and intriguing buildings and monuments, statues, and bridges.
It opens with a foreword by Dan Cruickshank who is an art historian and television presenter with special interest in the history of architecture. Then the book takes the reader on a continent-by-continent journey, exploring and charting the innovations, ingenuity, and imagination employed by different cultures to create iconic buildings such as the Great Pyramid of Giza.
This truly global approach reveals how humans tackled similar challenges, such as keeping the enemy out, in vastly different parts of the world, from the Great Wall of China to the defensive walls of Central American cities. Illustrations explain how the structures were built, while explanations cover the history, architecture, and unique stories behind their construction.
