This Log Cabin Knit Blanket also known as Brick Blanket is an easy knit project. This blanket is entirely made with knit stitches using leftover yarn. We love how colourful the blanket turned out. It livens up the space and makes a beautiful addition to any room.
For each square start off by casting on 20 and Knit all stitches to make a square and cast off.
The square goes clockwise when attaching the squares, each new colour will start off from where you end. When you pick up you will have one extra stitch, which is knitted together to make it multiples of ten. For example Strip 3 will have 30 stitches, Strip 4 will have 40, and so on.
I used a crochet hook to pick up stitches and put it on to the knitting needle, as it is easier compared to picking up stitches with the knitting needle.
Weave in the ends after making the blocks using a yarn needle.
For the black edging, I did 2 rows of knit for all centre edges in black and 5 rows of knit for the outer edges. I used black yarn to attach all the 12 blocks of squares using a yarn needle.
