I wanted to do a painting that is inspired by our love for travel by incorporating a famous quote "Not all who wander are lost". For this painting, I added mod melts and collage clay. Once the collage clay set, I painted it using DecoArt acrylic paint.
You will need...
Canvas
Paint brushes in different sizes
DecoArt acrylic paint
Painters tape
Strong glue
First, tape the edges of the canvas using painters tape. Then paint the canvas using a shade of blue and white for the background.
Using a pencil draw the quote, make sure to space it and see how you can incorporate the mod melts to the painting.
I painted the trees on the bottom of the canvas before outlining and painting the letters in black. Once the paint dries, remove the tape carefully. Glue the mod melts in place.
Use the DecoArt texture paint and apply it around the canvas where the tape was. Texture paint can be applied using a palette knife to get the textured effect. Applying this textured paint gives the canvas a framed look.
