Shopping for jeans can become difficult with all the different choices of styles, colours, cuts and fits out there! Your daily activities and likes from the types of activities you enjoy to where you go will help make it easy to find what style of jeans would be best for you. Here are some pointers to keep in mind when shopping for jeans.
Blue denim is probably the most well known and widely worn kind. It is extremely versatile and can be worn any time of the day with minimal effort. A darker wash lends itself to more formal situations, while a lighter wash is casual. Black denim is a great all-rounder. For example, if you love hanging out on the beach, distressed jeans in a light wash will create the perfect look for you. If you live a lifestyle that needs you to attend formal dinners and events, invest in a darker pair of straight cut jeans that can be dressed up or down.
Cuts and fits tend to vary between different brands, so once you find a type that works with your body type, make a note of that! If you know it looks good, you can get various colours of the same style. Another helpful hint is to note down the size that fits you the best. Because there is no consistent sizing system across brands, it helps to know your size in different makes.
Skinny jeans are perfect for those with long, slender legs, as they will complement the length and shape of the legs. If your stomach is a problem, tuck it in with a pair of high-waisted mom jeans, to make the waist look toned and trim. If you have an hourglass shape, any of the classic styles from bootcut, flare or skinny will work.
The rule across any purchase of jeans is that they should always fit comfortably. So make a thorough analysis of your needs before buying!
