In Ontario...
Muskoka, Ontario known as Ontario's cottage country, attracts a large number of people yearly due to its spectacular hiking opportunities, sightseeing spots, and the plethora of picturesque lakes where visitors can canoe, fish, or take a cruise. You can choose to stay in one of Muskoka's campgrounds or trailer parks or enjoy a stay at one of these Lakefront Cottage Rentals in Muskoka if you would prefer a vacation where you can enjoy the comforts of home. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a charming Victorian town located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. This is a good destination to experience local shopping, dining, and theatre while spending some of your time relaxing and having fun at one of the waterfront parks. The town sits at the mouth of the Niagara River where you can find Queen's Royal Park and three 19th-century forts that have been designated as Natural Historic Sites of Canada.
In British Columbia...
Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, British Columbia has some of the best lakeside beaches in all of Canada. Boyce-Gyro Beach is a popular choice due to the plethora of things to do, from paddle boarding to kayaking, and zip lining - where you can glide over the beach and into the water. Strathcona Park Beach is a little quieter than many of Kelowna's beaches, so you'll be able to relax on the warm sands without too many interruptions from tourists.
There are plenty of other places to explore, including pine-forested mountain trails, provincial parks, and dozens of local vineyards. Knox Mountain Park can especially be recommended for its breathtaking valley views over Okanagan Lake, but this is only one location of many that will astound you with its beauty.
