We find that it is fun to add our unique touches to home decor pieces. The process and the final results of these conversational pieces always excite us, and give a feeling of satisfaction. This summer we decided to add a couple of bird houses that we made to the garden, as we had a variety of different birds that come to the bird feeder.

Attracting birds to our garden with Squirrel Buster Plus Bird feeder
Over the past few years, we have updated our garden to encourage pollinators such as bees and butterflies to visit by choosing plants and flowers that attract them. We also made structures where they can build their homes, and created water features like bird baths. We also have a pond area which the birds love coming to take a bath and to quench their thirst or to sit by the rocks and sun bathe.

We Had a Wild Day at #AfricanLionSafari + a chance for you to Win tickets and take your family
My family and I love going to the African Lion Safari located in Cambridge, Ontario. We think this is one of the best attractions in Ontario. I have been to African Lion Safari over a half-dozen times since I was little and enjoy it each time. I am thankful that we have always been able to make wonderful memories each time we watch the shows and visit the 9km of Safari trail.

The Birds of North America that visited our garden
House Sparrow |
Birds of North America is a complete photographic guide to every Bird species we will see in North America written by experts from Canada and US. We really enjoyed learning about birds from this jargon-free book. This guide has close up, colourful photography that brings over 650 birds species to life. It is a wonderful reference book to people of all ages with all levels of
experience. We liked learning about the social behaviours and nesting
habits of the birds we encounter during different seasons. Learning and recognizing the different species of birds becomes easier with a colourful book like this.
