The Family Code Novel Giveaway

family code novel
Rituals and routines are often the glue that holds families together. Every family has their own version of this code. However, this code could be the very thing that tears a family apart. The Family Code is a well-written novel by award-winning Toronto-born author Wayne Ng, which I enjoyed reading. This quick read is written in the perspective of two characters; Hannah and Axel.

Spring Reads and Cookbook

There's Something about Sweetie by Sandhya Menon is a fun book to read about being happy about yourself and falling in love; it was like watching a movie. I like how the main character Sweetie stands up for herself without letting other people's perception of her body image take charge of how she felt about herself. Even when her mother was being over protective thinking being "fat" is a bad thing, Sweetie proved that she was healthy, happy, and was a good person. This book will be enjoyed by teens and adults.

Win the Wildlife of the World book

My family and I enjoy learning about wildlife, and we do this as a leisure activity during our eco-tourism to wildlife parks in Canada, and in different countries such as going to see elephants and turtles. We find watching documentaries and learning about wildlife from books such as this Wildlife of the World book is an extraordinary and a humbling experience for us. The unique habitats of the world that God has created are incredible and amazing, as every species has features that are specific to them, which they need for their survival.

Books For Children

up and down children's book
Having fun, educational, colourful books in our home library is important to me because these encourage my children to explore topics and find their interests. My children enjoyed these books that open up lots of conversations, and teach them lessons, as well as general knowledge information such as about our environment. The colourful illustrations encourage children to be engaged and read it many times. I like that it awakens their natural curiosity to explore, and learn.

The Peace and Love Train book Teaches About Acceptance

We enjoyed reading The Peace and Love Train book written by Tyler Kincaid. The author wrote this book with the assistance of her 12-year-old granddaughter Kiley. She was inspired to write and publish this book because of her brother, who is developmentally disabled. I really like how this book encourages children, and reminds adults the importance of acceptance, patience and true humanity.

Win a Copy of this Fabulous book "The Perfect Parent"

Being a parent is a blessing for both my husband and I. We did fear about how good we will be at “parenting” since our children didn't come with manuals :) Some of the situations we had to learn to deal with were, and are still challenging. I find as our children grow, and become independent the challenges too grow and how we deal with these become more important so we can keep having good relationships.
