There are so many places to see within downtown Montreal, and I am glad we went to check out the Pointe-à-Callière Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History that had the temporary exhibit of the epic journey of Marco Polo, as well as many fun permanent exhibits. It was fun for us to learn and see how the archaeologist go deep underground.

Drive-In Movie Theatres
I have never watched a movie in a drive-in movie theatre, but have seen many movies where people go to drive-in theatres, which looks like a fun experience I would want to try. In the 1950s, Canada has had over 250 drive-in theatres and they were the hottest ticket in town. In recent years, more than 4,000 drive-ins have gone dark across North America. It’s not too late share the joy of the drive-in movies with your family and friends at one Canada’s 50 remaining outdoor screens. Grab a blanket and catch a movie under the stars before summer ends or, add a stop on your fall road trip.

Exploring and Enjoying Downtown Montreal
This summer my family and I enjoyed exploring Montreal, Quebec. Our drive to Montreal was about 5 hours from Toronto with a few stopovers at ONroute locations. We stayed over at the largest hotel in the province of Quebec, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. The Canadian National Railway built this downtown hotel in the 1950s.

Sesame Street Presents The Body at Ontario Science Centre
My children are at a curious age where learning about their bodies fascinate them. We were happy to check out the new Sesame Street Presents The Body exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre, which will be open until May 5th, and is free with general admission.
My children had an awesome time learning and exploring about the body at this colourful, child friendly exhibition. The whole exhibition was set up as though we were at Sesame Street, which we enjoyed.

Products made with elephant poo paper
During our visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka, we saw a small elephant poo factory that gave us the opportunity to learn how elephant dung is transformed into paper. I have seen products made with elephant poo during the Green living show in Canada, so very curiously we went in. September 17, 2013
All about Elephants at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Human activities and greed has immensely impacted elephants by dramatically decreasing their population. Many of these family oriented wild mammals have become orphans or have got hurt because of our careless actions. In order to save the elephants from becoming extinct, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was opened in 1975 in Pinnawala, Sri Lanka close to Kegalle. This facility functions as an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground.
